A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE AN OPTION TO PURCHASE THE VAN SMITH PROPERTY
AT 7800 SW59th AVENUE FOR USE ASAPASSIVEPARK;AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF UP TO $8,740.13 FOR THE
PURCHASE OPTION FROM ACCOUNT 01-2100-519-8310 "SEED
FUNDS";PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS,theneed exists for additional parks within the City of South Miami;
WHEREAS,the property located at 7800 SW 59th Avenue isan excellent location
fora passive park;and
WHEREAS,theCityhasthe opportunity to execute an option to purchase this
property.
NOW,THEREFORE,BEIT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI,FLORIDA:
Section 1.TheCity Manager is authorized to execute the attached Option to
Purchase Real Estate with the Van Smith heirs for the property at 7800 SW 59th Avenue
andtopayasumnottoexceed$8,740.13fortheoptionfromAccount 01-2100-519-
8310;Seed Funds.
Section 2.This resolution shallbe effective immediately after the adoption
,2001.
