BACKGROUND Theinstallation of restroomsatFuchs Park isthelastmajorcomponent of thisimportant renovation project.Theoriginalconceptwastobuildconventional restrooms attachedtotheChamberSouth building.Thecost of constructionbasedonthe original designwasinexcess of $75,000,whichwas considerably overthe amount budgeted forthefacilities. Althoughthe timeline of theFRDAPgrantcalledforacompletion of allconstructionbytheend of April,werequestedandobtainedan extension untilJune30,2000.Because of therelativelyshort time remaining for the completion of the construction,we soughtbuilding methods that would satisfythat timeline but not sacrifice quality,appearanceordurability.
