RESOLUTION NO. ______ _
A Resolution consenting to the appointment of Dwayne Williams to the position of Director of the
Planning and Zoning Department for the City of South Miami, Florida.
7 WHEREAS, the City Manager, on the basis of ability to perform the duties of the position Director of
8 the Planning and Zoning Department, hereby recommends the appointment of Dwayne Williams to that
9 position; and

11 WHEREAS, pursuant to Article III, Section 5, subsection A. provides that the City Manager may not
12 appoint any department director without first obtaining the consent of a majority of the members of City
13 Commission at a duly noticed City Commission meeting.; and
14
15 WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission wish to consent to the appointment of Dwayne Williams,
16 to the position of Director of the Planning and Zoning Departmentfor the City of South Miami.

18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
19 SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA:

21 Section 1. The Mayor and City Commission hereby consent to the City Manager's appointment of
22 Dwayne Williams to the position of Director of the Department of Planning and Zoning for the City of South
23 Miami.

25 Section Z. Effective Date. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption by vote
26 of the City Commission.
