Re: Notice of Election of Police Officer to
South Miami 185 Pension Plan Board
Dear Mr. Alexander: .
This letter is written on behalf of our clients, the Dade County Police Benevolent Association
(PBA), the South Miami Police Bargaining Units. On October 1st, 2014 I wrote you advising the
City that Jesus Aguiar had been elected to one of the two (2) positions available for Pension
Board (185) representatives. However, as to the second position, there had been a tie. Please be
advised that pursuant to the election held this week (tie-breaker), Robert Bukens was elected by
majority vote. Officer Bukens will now begin serving his term(s) on the Board as the duly
elected member of the Board.
Please take whatever procedural steps are necessary to confirm his election to the Board. I
appreciate your time in this matter. Thank you.
