81 2 3 4 5 6 RESOLUTION NO. _____ _ A Resolution consenting to and confirming the appointment of Quentin Pough, as the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation for the City of South Miami, Florida. 7 WHEREAS, the City Manager, on the basis of ability to perform the duties of the 8 position Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation, hereby recommends the 9 appointment of Quentin Pough to that position; and 10 11 WHEREAS, pursuant to Article III, Section 5, subsection A. provides that "the City 12 Manager may not appoint any department director without first obtaining the consent of a 13 majority of the members of City Commission at a duly noticed City Commission meeting."; 14 and 15 16 WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission wish to consent to and confirm the 17 appointment of Quentin Pough, as the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation 18 for the City of South Miami. 19 20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE 21 CITY OF SOUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA: 22 23 Section 1.
