I would like to take this opportunity to respectfully request that our
Agency's engage in a Mutual Aid Agreement, in support of interagency
Law Enforcement functions.
In the past few years, the South Miami an Sweetwater Po cc Department
have been involved in a multiplicity of operations to include Multi-
Agency Sobriety Checkpoints, Tactical Operations and Homeland
Security Events.
A solid Mutual Aid Agreement is a necessary instrument to solidify
enforcement and jurisdictional parameters for Officers engaging in Law
Enforcement activities within each other's jurisdiction.
I have assigned Sergeant Jorge F. de Lara as my interagency liaison for
Mutual Aide issues. Your staff may contact him at 305-546-4040 or at
.&Lelary(d)cit oLue(NaterfljL(,)y. You may contact me directly at 305-
345-6850.
Enclosed is a Mutual Aid Agreement, which is currently the standard
document used by Law Enforcement Agencies at this time. I have
executed the agreement on our end. Copies should be distributed amongst
each Agency and filed with FDLE's Mutual Aid Office.
As always, rest assured of our fullest cooperation in matters of mutual
concern.
