Res No 088-15-14427RESOLUTION NO.088-15-14427 A Resolution re-appointing Sally Philips to serve on the Planning Board fora two-year term ending June 1,2017. WHEREAS,theMayorandCommissionrecognizetheimportantcontributionsmadeby thosewhoserveonthevariousCityboardsandcommitteesandwishtoappointafull complement toeach of the active boards and committees;and WHEREAS,theCity Commission desiresto re-appoint Sally Philips toserveforatwo- yeartermonthe Planning Board.This appointment(s)shallexpireJune1,2017 oruntilremoved or until a successor is duly appointed and qualified. WHEREAS,commencing with appointments made after January 1,2009,Sec.2-22 "Term Limits"of the Code of Ordinances provides that,appointees are limited totwo(2) consecutive two-year terms of membership ona specific commission,board,or committee.After serving a maximum of two(2)consecutive year terms,an appointee shall notbe reappointed to the same commission,board or committee unless at least one year has elapsed between the term limited position andthe effective date of commencement of the proposed appointment foranew term;and WHEREAS,Sec.2-22 "Term Limits"of the Code of Ordinances,as amended by OrdinanceNo.06-14-2184,datedApril15,2014,providesthattheappointer,orhisorher successorinoffice,mayextendthetermlimits of hisorher appointment withtheadviceand consent of a majority of the City Commission;and WHEREAS,pursuant toSec.2-22 "Term Limits"of the Code of Ordinances,this will beMs.Philips'third two-year term.
