Councilman Proble also reported receipt of a check in the amount of 03,931.71 on December 11 for the October cigarette tax collections* Councilman Preble also stated that the telephone company had advised that it was holding an additional number for e. phone and that he would life the City to put in another phone rotary - in the Clerk's office. It, was agreed that the volume of business handled warranted this and general approval given. as Councilman Carballo stated he wants a hydrant at Sunset and, the Highway, that he has the money in the budget and can buy it. He wants to get it before prices are increased and hydrants cannot be gotten. I He was given the O.T. Councilman Rebozo stated that Officer 7. As Pressley, Jr. had been hired a year ado and is now getting $200. per month. They are talking about; replacing a man at 11200. and it would be-well at this time to grant Pres.,loy Ef20.00 por month increase so as not to hire a now man at the same rate as a man who hac'been on the payroll for a year.
