The. meeting was called to order by President Prebish with Councilmen Andrews, Gresham, Proble, Probish and Carballo responding to roll call. Minutes of the regular meeting of June ?G -, of the adjourned meeting of June 27 and of the special ,seating -of June 3Q were respectively read and approved as read. Minutes of the special meeting of July 7th. were read. Councilman 'Gresham believes the statements made by the witnesses should have boon put in the minutes. There was a discussion re: the affidavits. Councilman Proble stated they were supposed to be on fide. Following, further discussion, Councilman Andrews, seconded by Councilman Prable, moved that the minutes of July 7th. be approved as read, with the understanding that the transcription is in the office. Carl Gluck asked for-,'two Coleman lanterns for the Legion hall to be used in case of storms fo a shelter. He also asked that someone be deputized there under such occasions. Councilman Andrews stated he will donate two such lanterns. Following discussion on lar.761uck's request for a deputy, Councilman Andrews suggested drawing a resolution to that - effect and .Attorney Ruff was so instructed. Jim Bodeker would like to open a billiard parlor in South Miami and asked the Council's re- action, staking; he was considering the old Cone _Restaurant building as a.possible location. There was no objeecctti n to the billicrd parlor and the zoning is right at that location, but Councilman ', 1 6 ointed out that there are & violations involved, insofar as the building is concerned, that must be complied with before the building is re- opened.
