$5819'0409 with a possible $512390 additional exemptions pending, which
left a total roll of approximately $1,2939800 on which taxes could be
assessed.

There being no written or oral objections or complaints, the meeting was
adjourned in _regular order at approximately 9:00 P.Id.

The meeting was called to order by 'Pres. Clark, with L%yor Thompson
Atty. 3ard and Councilmen Bryant Shafer, Atwood, Barrow, Maples
and Clark responding to roll cal.
A letter from the !American Telephone and Telegraph Company, questioning
the City's assessment of personal property in view of the return filed
by them, was read, and Councilman r,`aples, seconded by Councilman Atwood
moved that action be withheld until further investigation can be made.
Motion carried. 'There being no other complaints the mee;.ing -wras adjourned
to take up the business of the regular Council meeting.
