after.
Regular order of business was suspended to take up with Mr. Fred Stutz
head of the' Dade County Waste Division and I. osquito Control the problem
of the City's dump noon involved in legal proceedings, and part of which
has also been used by the Cotuity collcctor in this area. In the course
of discussion, Lr* Stutz emphasized the fact that in his opinion a pit
can be operated in a sanitary manner with a bull dozer, that it was
cheaper to 'buvy the gavbage than to incinerate it, inasmuch as it would
cost at least .2. per ton to burn in an incinerator whereas it could be
buried for about il. per ton. Atty. Ward was of the opinion that if the
City could, show that it has a reasonable plan the Court would not strap it
from usiiic, the pit immediately, and it was it ?r. Stutz:' belief that the City
would definitely have to stop burning at the pit under any circumstances.
