The meeting wgs called to order by Pres. Barrow, Wit_a Councilmen

to roll call.

Fife: Chairman. it ° °iaples -had sent in a report that the price of drilling'
wells in Miami Springs was $266.00 per welly and too high, in his
estimation. The report further ,,isted as only about 6 ;"tells that
needed deepening, that in all others there were at least 24 inches
Of water, in spite of the unusWilly low level of the ,,ater table at
the present. Councilman Brown statod not only that it was much better
to get the water out of open wells than from ni; es but that it would

also be Possible to pump out of a ,good open well with 2 engines, if
necessary.
Councilman Pope joined the meeting during the preceding discussion.
. Polic,0 Chairman Brown reported that some prowler had been around
recently, also that one of the prisoners had way ked off the preceding
Saturday,, and it was agreed that the prisoners should be looked up
when not working.
