and Councilmen Barrow, Faust? Chinn, Bennett and DroAAin responding. to
-roll call. Councilman Bost�,lick joined the meeting during; the reading;
of the minutes.

Sanitation: Chairman :i'aust reported that the trash had finally been
move" from C UI,jB�U 'E' In vieir of the difficulties in :keeping up
with the garbage removal anu the large quantities of trash awaiting
collections there ivas considerable discussion on methods of handling
the situation' anti the possibility of having to collect 1:eus for trash
removal, but no action was taken at this tirle c>
Fire: v.K. Chairman Barrow rel orted on a house fire during a recent
rain, caused by a defective stove. He also brought in the report of
the telel hone company, which claimed it %,Jould require approximately X300.00
exl enditure to i rovide facilities for installing a .pholze in Chief I�telton's .
house and askin,, the City to bear one -half (:141.52) of that cost,, but
it was decided the City was not in a lositioA to do this and the Clerk
instructed to advise the pholle company to that effect.
Police: Chairman Bennett .�ias pleased to be able to report thct; the re-
cent robberies in tawlz had been solved ano most of the culprits appre
headed 7 that the City of bIiewii got the whole credit even the, Chief
'diel=.and had worked night and day on that and had been instrumental to
a great extent in gettinT; the case "broken". Ile asked him at this
time to give a report on the matter7 which he did.
