The meeting was called to order by Pres. Brown with Mayor Vanderboegh r
and Councilmen 'Bostwick, Barrow, Chinn, Faust and Brown and Atty. W. G
ward responding'to roll call. ,
Minutes of the regular meeting of August 17 were approved as read.
Reports of standing committees were as follows':
Finance: Absent.
Sanitation: U.K.
Fire: U.K.
Police: Absent.
Streets & Parks; Chairman Chinn reported that he had located 'a power'
mower of a ,good makep according to a representative of the Hector Sup-
ply Co. which has handled them and has the "necessary repair parts.
Following a discussions it was agreed that if the price range is within
$50 to $75 and the condition of the mower U.K. that Chairman Chinn
purchase it for the City.

Mayor Vanderboe h reported that the proposed Sign for the names of -
service men and women from this area is completed, but still needs:
to be painted.

that Ordinance #142, caption of which follows, be placed on first
reading in -its entirety. Motion carried.>

Councilman Bostwick seconded by Councilman Faustq then moved that
Ordinance #142 be placed on second reading by caption only. lotion
carried.
As an emergency measw.eq Councilman Bostwick, seconded by 'Councilman
Barrow, then moved that Urdinance #142 be placed on third and final
roading in its entirety. Motion carried.
Having been read, Councilman Bostwickq seconded by Councilman .Faust
moved that Ordinance #142 be adopted as read. Motion carried by

Councilman Bostwick seconded by Councilman Barrow, then moved that
Ordinance #143 be placed on second reading by caption only. Motion

Atty. Ward was further instructed to draw u an ordinance for the
licensing of used car ,;dealers requiring the posting of a surety
bond as one of the provisions for obtaining said license.
At th1s.point Councilman Faust was excused.

Following a discussion, it was agreed that the Clerk 'take up with the
County Engineer the question of having the County provide a blinker
light at the Red Rd. and Sunset Drive intersection, with the under-
standing that South hTiami would continue footing the light bill, as
heretoforeq and servicing it with bulbs, and try to arrange with
Coral Gables to provide mechanical maintenance; as at present.
There being no further business. the meeting was adjourned in regular
order.
