The meeting was called to order by Pres. Faust., with Councilmen Bost -
wick, Chinn? Bennett Faust
and and Atty. H. F. Ward responding to
ro11 call.
Minutes of the regular meeting of December 1 were approved as read..
Reports of standing committees were as follows:
Finance;: Absent.
Sanitation: Absent.
Fire. Absent. ,.
Police: 0.1.
Streets & Parks. O.K.
Buildings: No Activity.
Councilman Chinn reported his attendance of the second meeting of the
Pnewly
wp organized e County Health Unit7 which had been called for the
f a
f oving Dr. Griffiths' proposed budget for the comic
year. He stated that it had been approved as set up and will in turn
go to the County Commission for final approval. The unit also voted
to meet monthly here,after� on the second Friday.
It met with the approval of all present that Councilman Chinn continue
to represent the City in its representation of the smaller Dade County

municipalities, in these County health meetings.
Further consideration of the bus franchise was postponed until such
time as a full Council and Atty. 111. -G. Ward could be present.
Councilman Bostvickg seconded by Councilman Bennett, moved that ;1. -0f
Canington be refunded 4;51.52 paid by him for the tax certificates on
Lots 24 and 257 'Block 9 TOVINSITE OF LARKINS on Sept. 22, 1942 and
which are :included in the .rlropa Suit. Motion carried by poll9 as
follows
Bostwick yes Chinn yes Bennett yes Faust yes
A request for garbage service to Milton Blake at 105:5 Sunset Drive'
(in the County7 across the railroad) was discussedvbut turned down
because it was not along, a regular co'llectioff- route.
Councilman Bostwick, seconded by Councilman Bennett7 moved that
Ordinance #1389-caption of which follows, be placed on first read-
ing ing in its entirety. Motion carried.

Thereupon Councilman Chinni, seconded by Councilman Bennett., moved that
Ordinance W138 be placed on second reading by caption only. Potion
carried:.
Councilman Bostwicki seconded by Councilman Chinn moved that Ordinance
;`138 be placed on its 'third and final reading, in its ;entirety.
IZ-D Motion carried.
Upon completion of its reading? Councilman Bostiiick2 seconded by Council
man Bennett, moved that Ordinance -#138 be adopted'as' read. Motion carried
by poll, as follows:
