CITY COUNCIL OF SCUTH Iu4IA14I IiZLD TUES-
DAY EVENING, NO 1ER 17, A.D. 1942 AT,
THE CITY HALL AT 8.00 P. M.
The meeting was called to order by President Faust, with Mayor
vanderboegh, Councilmen Bostwick,, Brown, Chinn, Bennett, Faust
and Atty. H. F. ward responding to roll call..

Reports of standing committees were as follows:
Finance: Absent,
Sanitation: Everything quiet.
Fire: O.K.
Police: O.K. Chairman Bennett reported that military police were
helping with the department.
Streets & Parks: Receipt of a check, from the county for $94.74 Road
& Brid6e money was reported,
Buildings: No activity,
Atty. Ward reported that the matter of the improperly guarded R.'R.-
crossings had again been taken up with the Company's attorney and
relief had been promised by him.
In a discussion regarding the resumption of the monthly meetings of
municipal officials, the Council agreed to undertake the next one
with Coral Cablesq South Miami to bear one- third of the expense.
Atty. jh!ard further reported on two other matters: In the case of the
Lichtenberg 'tax certificate matter (the Alropa Suit) he suggested that
any action be withhelu until a definite offer is made, and on the
Quo Warranto suits now pendin,& the Attorneys for the complainants had
agreed to a continuation of the cases until after January; pending the
outcome of a similar suit now in court.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned in regular
order at approximately :8.45 P.M.
