The meeting was called to order by Pres. Faust, with 'Mayor Vander

Minutes of the regular meeting of August 18 were approved as read.
A, request for adjustment of Tax Certificate #1636, sale' of Sept.8,
1927 for 1926 taxes was presented, showing that an error had been
made in the'originai assessment$ and that the partial redemption
had covered approximately one -half of the actual area. Councilman
Bostwick, seconded by Councilman Gladden, moved that the balance
of the Certificate be settled for one -half of the outstanding princi-
pals with no interest. Motion carried by polls as follows:

Reports of standing committees were as follows:

Sanitation: A complaint regarding the chickens at 100 Sunset Drive
was referred to Mayor Vanderboegh for. investigation.
Fires Absent
Police: Absent
Streets & Parks: A discussion regarding the reduction in current in
the street lights resulted in a motion by Councilman Bostwick
seconded by Councilman Chinn, that the City have the street 11ghta`
reduced to 60 CP In a further effort to meet the budget allowance
for the current fiscal year. Motion carried by poll, as follows:!

Councilman Bostwick, seconded by Councilman Gladden moved that the
city set up $500.00 out of the Reserve Fund for Civilian Defense
