The meeting was called to order by Pres. Vanderboegh, with Mayor Glass:
Councilmen Bostwick, Parrish, Bennett, Vanderboegh and Core present.
Pres. Vanderboegh read the notice for the meeting ,which had been called
for the purpose of canvassing the election returns, and for any emergency
business
that may come before the meeting.
Thereupon the certificate of election returns was read, which was as fol-
lows

Councilman Bostwick, seconded by Councilman Core, made the motion
declaring Frederick Glass elected as Mayor, and H. P. Bennett, J. M
Bostwick, W. W. Brown, A. B. Core,, T. J. Faust$ Joseph Gladden and H. W.
4anderboegh, having received the highest number of votes for the City
Council, elected as Councilmen. Motion carried,
As emergency business the Council discussed the check for $114.00 on an
out -of -state bank tendered by the carnival people to the City of South
Miami.. Inasmuch as the agreement called for the payment of this amount
in cash$ Councilman Bostwick, seconded by Councilman Bennett, moved that
the check be returned to Endy Bros. and cash requested, as per agreement.
Motion carried.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned in regular order.
