Idarning, of the South Eiami Plumbing Co., stated that the work had been done by Bradshaw, former plumbing inspector of lliami.2 who claimed that the work was put in according to directions, of Mr. and Mrs.- Bryant. Atty. Ward 'asked how long ago the job had been .finished and when it was stated that the business had opened there July 1-7, he declared that the City was estopped by time, that the City might need a new ordinance, but that it was not a Court of Law and settlement of this matter was between the parties directly concerned. Soecial Committees: Mayor Glass reported that a !dater survey is being made by the $outh itiliami District Chamber of tomi�ierce and raised the question as to whether City water might not be worked in with national defense, with an auxilliary plant at South Miami in case of difficulty at Homestead. He also stated that on Friday, January 10, the South Dade Bombing Race, a feature of the Air Daneuvers, would be held. In connection with the naming of the proposed new County Fa-k oti key Biscayne, he reported that he had written a letter in the name of the City urgino the Commission to name one of its parks for commissioner Crandon and that at the Commissions meeting it had been agreed to name the Key Bi.sc6yne Park for him. In connection yjith the right- of -vay given recently for a road in to the Slocomb property, it was agreed that as soon as the proper County equipment could be gotten, it should be cleared and graded.
