The selection Uf a: Councilman to fill the unexpired term of V. D. Bryant,
whose resignati cn had been accepted, was next discussed, with the ndmes of
C.• F. Foyle and t. Z . Schc ,alter presented as willing; to accept the post.

In a general discussion veEarding the zoning of liquor businesses the
fo1101`1ir&- points were agreed on:
1. Restriction to State Hwy. locations.
°2':. Restricting to one 'store within 2500 ft4 from north and south
limits respectively, of the City.
3. x:iniiiium,,, distance from playground 500 ft., minimum distance from
churches and schools, 300 ft
4 restrict bars and other tyres of liquor 1;ernlits(other than
packaUe stares) �'ncludirg r,iLrht clubs, to south 1000 ft. on S.
State Hwy.
5. All licenses subject to Counc'il's approval.
'.Vith this general outline, .-,tatty. .lard was instructed: tc draw up the
ft9cessary ordinance:
President 1landerboegh i,rought up tte qu:stion of transportation for the
school children, stating that he would not be able to carry them this
year, and with school- opening September 16 other would
have to be trade without much delay. one suggestion was that Councilman
Gladden and I.'ayor Glass contact V. D. Bryant on this rmatt.er, and an
other :suggeeticn, was that the City buy a school bus and operate it.
President Vanderboegh was wm of the upinitn that a used bus might be
obtained for $500.00 and w ile'the question or financing; such a propo-
sition was raised, it was agreed that he look into the "possibility of
caking such a purchase and report back at a special meeting to be called
as soon at he was ready with said report.

of the month pay ioll, at 18¢ per hour fur time put in.
Councilman Gladden, seconded by Councilman Bostwick moved that the bills
