The meeting was called to order by Pres. Vanderboegh Vith
Mavor Glass and all members of the Council present. I-resident
anderboegh read the notice for the meeting which had been
called for the purpose of taking action on the June 'bills and
discussions on the proposed budget for 1940 -1941, and any
emergency business that may come before the meeting.
Minutes of the regular meeting of June 18 were approved as read.
The bills on hand for material and services through June 26 were
read as follows:

Councilman Gladden seconded by Councilman :Brown 'then moved
that the bills as read together with legitimate increases for
the balance of June be paid as of June 30,the close of the
1939 -40 fiscal year. Motion carried by Poll as follows: "

Bennett yes Vanderboegh yes
The balance of the meeting was given over to discussion of
the 1940 -41 budget with department heads submitting their figures
for requested appropriations.
With Homestead exLibiptions considerably increasi!d over last
year the budget as requested would mean an increase in the millage
and it was agreed that further discussion will be ne®essary.
The meeting was adjourned at approximately 10:00 P.14 °.
