The 'meeting was called to order by the president of the council,
Mr. Bearer, those ' present being Councilmen Yarborough, °Chubbuck,
Schmacker, Cordell, Metger, and I Beaver.
Councilman Mstger offered s motion which was'seconded by Councilman
Cbubbnck that the City purchase the L.C. Smith, 260, oarriage typewriter,
ftloh <han been in use in the C erk•s office, on terms to be ,arranged by
the City Clerk. The motion was carried after some discussion, by a poll,
of the vote an follows

The following bills were placed before the council for approval and
upon s motion by Councilman pordell, seconded by Councilman Metger, the
sans were allowed and ordered paids-

The poll of the vote resulted as follows,-
Yarborough Cordell yes
Chubbuok Yes Metger Tee
Sohmacker Yes Beaver' Tee
A comuenicat Ion . from Vre.L. D. 2rsokenridge relative to the exchange
of some City of South Miami Tax Certificates held by him, was 'read to the
Council and after some discussion, Councilman Yarborough offered a notion
which was seconded by Councilman Cordell that the request of Mr Breckenridge
that he be alloodd to ezahaage said certificates;, be tabled indefinitely.
The motion was carried umanimous]y.
A motion by councilman Cordell seconded by Councilman Chnbbuok that
certain signs along the higi aty be removed and that the 'Clark be instructed
to notify the owners of same of this removal order failed to pus, the vote
being a tie a. follows:

fiscal year beginning July 2. and ending Jame 30th, 1934 was presented
to the Council and the Items for the various departments of the City were
discussed at now length.
A motion was made by Councilman- Bbhucker that the Clerks sa2my be

fixed at due Hundred Dollars ($100.001 per month. So motion was seconded by
Councilman Clmbbacke
Councilman Cordell offered an amendment to said notion, which was
seconded by Councilman Lstger that said salar y be fixed at ninety Dollars

(90.00) per month for the First six months of the Fiscal year beginning
July 18t.,1933 and one Hundred Dollars per month for the last six months

The president of the Council than called for a vote on the amended 'Motion
which ;resulted as follows!

1 motion was made'�by Councilman,Chubbuok and seconded by Councilman Yarborough
that the City sell to Mr Beach the garbage truck at a price of Forty Eight
Dollars ($48.001 payable ;Four Dollars ($4*00) per month, and enter into a con
tract; with Mr Beach to remove the garbage of the City as usual for fixed
price of Seventeen Dollars Fifty Cents ( ;17.501 per weeks A poll of the
tote resulted affirmatively as follows:

The Clerk placed before the Council an offer by Mr Wittkow for the purchase
Of City owned Tax Certificates on certain land located In the City of South
Miami. After ocrosiderable discussion Councilman Tarborough moved that Mrs
Wlttlkm offer be tabled ndefinitely The Motion was seconded by Council
