South ;,'iami, F lorida held at the City hall at S-00 O'clock
April lath, 1933
The meeting was opened by the president of the Council, °Ir
Beaver, those present being !.'a-or Peacock and Councilmen Yarborough,
Chubbuck, Schmacker, "Test, Cordell, Yetger, and Beaver.
The Clerk read the minutes of the regular meeting of the City'
Council held April 4th and the Special meet in;; held April 11th. ,there
being no corrections the minutes were adopted as read. �
Councilman 1,;etger moved t3at the City Clerk be authorized to grant ;
widows exemption to persons legally entitled to such exemption and to
deduct the amount of the exemption from the face amounnt of tax certificates
upon the payment of said certificates. The motion was seconded by
Councillinn Schr:a.cker and was carried unanimously by poll as follows;;

The following bills were placed before the council for approval
and upon motion by Councilman 3hubbuck, seconded by c;ouncilrman 13chmacker,

Councilman 1.:etger moved that the Chief of Police be appointed City
building inspector and sanitary inspector to work with the council
comantteemen in charge of each division in enforcing the ordinances of the
City. ;, The motion was seconded by coiuicilman Cordell and was carried.
Upon the request of 1r Puller of the Florida Power and light Co.,;
that the council reimburse his company on account to the extent of Fifty
Dollars (.50.00),in return for like amount paid by the Florida Power and
Light Co. to the City for occupation license, councilman Yarborough made
a Trot on tlAt the clerk be instructed to issue a check 'to the said Florida
Power and Light io. in the amotuit of Fifty Dollars (.'x,50.001. The rAtion was
seconded by councilmai ? etger and carried by a poll of the vote as follovrs '-
