1933-04-04 MINUTES CITY COUNCIL MTGrs REGULAR MEETING 01' THE CITY COUNCIL OF Tai: CITY OF SQJTH MIAMI, F'L01111A Held at the City Hall April 4th 1933 at 8:00 P.i.i, The meeting; was called to order by the president of the council, Mr Beaver, thmse present being Mayor Peacock and councilmen. Yarborough, Chubbuck, Schmacker, West,Cordell, Motger, and Beaver. The Clerk read the minutes of the last regular meeting which was held March 21st, 1933. There being no corrections the minutes were adopted as read. The following bills were presented to the council by the olerk for approval and payment: Harley's Service Station 4.50E Lipscomb's Service Station m7.55• V.D.Bryant 8.15- Riviera Service Station 17.76' Foster do Reynolds 2.85• Southern Printers 3.60= Jno C. Sullivan ` 17.80= Councilman Chubbuck moved that the above said bills be paid which mot -ion was seconded; by councilman Motger. A poll of the vote resulted .unanimously in the affirmative as follows:- Yarborough yes West yea Chubbuck yes Cordell yes Schmacker yes lietger yes $ Beaver yes Councilman'bletger made a motion that the council accept the proposition of the County commissioners to cancel! the City owned tax certificates against Blocks 2 & 3, Palm Miami Heights in return for the cancellation of the City's debt of Heights Three Hundred Seventy Five Dollars (`3375.00) to the county upon the approval of the proposition by the board of county commissioners. The motion was seconded by councilman Yarborough and was carried by a poll of the vote as follows: Yarborough yea !"Jest yes Chubbuck yes Cordell you Schmsoker yes Motger yes Heaver yes Upon the suggestion of Mayor 2$acock, Councilman Cordell made a motion that the salary of the Municipal Judge be fixed at One Dollar (31.00) per year during the term of office of the present judge and Mayor, Goo. L.
