1933-02-07 MINUTES CITY COUNCIL MTGi Sit ICI i, - REGULAR '.12MMIM, OF TL ;E 0:I' y CP17-7r;IL or iTE?I CI^tY OF SOUTH 14IA,11I, FLORIDA Held at the City Hall,February 7, 1933 at 8:00 o'clock P.Y. `5 The meeting was called to order by the president, Mr. Lindley, those present being Mayor Foster and councilmen Angermar, Chubbuck, Schmacker, Burtashaw, Red, and Lindley. Upon the request of the president the clerk proceeded with the reading -of the minutes of the previous regular meeting held January 17, 1933. Councilman Chubbuck moved that the minutes be adopted as read with the exception that the names of the candidates of the election to be held - February 14th be placed in the Minutes. The 'motion was seconded by 111r. Red and upon being _out to vote was carried The following bills were,placed before the council for approved and payment— Sinclair Refining Company Police Dept gas 8: oil ,p 13.08 Harley's Service Station Sanitary Dept truck repairs 4.25, Harley's Service Station Police 'Dept gas & oil etc, 22.52" Petty Cash Clerks office & license tags 10.04' Florida Power & Light Co. City hall & Police Dept 11.76• Orange State (jil Company Ias & Oil Sanitary Dept 17.95- Southern Printers Ballots' 5.00- Easter's Service Station 3anitar$r & Police Depts_ 4.00 Florence 'Snyder Tax Certif icate expense 22.00 I. H. Beach Salary 11. F. Shelley Salary 10040 Councilmen Red moved that the clerk be instructed to bay the above bills. The motion was seconded by councilman Burtashaw and carried unanimously with the poll of the vote as follows : - Angerman yes Burtashaw yes Chubbuck yes Red. yes Schmacker yes Lindley yes Councilman Red then made a motion that the cleric be authorized to issue a cheelt to the Florida Power and Light .ompany in the amount of One Hundred Fifty Dollars (.$150.00),fdr payment on account. The motion was seconded by ° councilman Burtashaw the poll of the vote resulting in the affirmative as follows:— Angerman yes Burtashaw yes Chabbuck' yes Red yes Schmacker yes Lindley yes u'ouncilman Red' presented a motion that the clerl: be authorized to comply with the order of the Circuit Court by taking up certain tax certificates referred to in the South L:ami Devolo pintent Co suit, and returning to the purchaser the amount of money paid to the City for them.
