The minutes were adopted as read. J Councilman Chubbuck, was appointed by President Lindley 93 a committee to Investigate a matter of Eire - fighting equipn!ent which he had placed before the Council. P George Shelley and S. '9.; Airey be appointed as inspectors andeMrs .dG.aA.�oStewa.rtaasClerk of the City Election to be held on ° February 14th, 1933, to fill the vacancies on said Election Board made by the dis- qualifying or refusing to serve of Jack Metger, 77. P. Cordell, and 11.. H. Wiggins, heretofore appointed by the Council as Inspectors and Clark, respectively._ The motion was seconded. by Councilr.�.n Chubbuck, and upon being put to vote was carried unanimously. The following resolution was offered and read to the Council by Councilman Red,, who moved at the same time for its adoption; e This Council being advised that u:r. Howard Gibbons and others have sued, out,a twit of injunction restraining L. B. Leatherman, Cherlt of Circuit Court, from issuing tax deeds based on tax certificates heretofore sold by the City of South Miami, and it appearing to the Council that if an injunction will lie against City tax certificates sold by the City of ,South Miami, it will with like force apply to the unsold city tax certificates Tl ?.-EREF0RE , B'Z' IT R :'SOLPM that it is the opinion of this Council that said suit should be defended by the City of South l.iami, and. be it further resolved that Mr. J. C. Sullivan, Attorney at Lar,* be, and he is, hereby authorised amd requested to intervene in said suit in whatever manner, legal and proper that the interest of the City of South Miami may be properly and adequately protected, rFollowing the readirkc� of the resolution Councilman' Chubbucl. seconded Council- r an' Red's motion.
