Minutes of the Meeting of the City Council'
November ,1, 1932 at the city Hall, South ,jjiaci, Fla. 8 :00 P.Lt
The president of the council, ir. Lindley, being absent,.
councilman Burtashaw made the motion that Ur. Feed be appointed
president pro tem. Councilman Smith seconded the motion :after which
Ui. Burtashaw caalsd for the vote resulted in the -, affirmative, Mr.
Red then took the chair and proceeded with the meeting.
Those present were, Councilmen.Angerman, Burtashaw, Smith, and /
Red, and Mayor Foster,
The president called for the reading of the minutes of the two
Previous VOffdlar:maetinga, the acceptance of the minutes for the
meeting of September 20th having been witkheld at the meeting of
October 4th. The minutes for both the meeting of September 20th and
the meeting for October 4th were adopted as read. There was no other
regular meeting during the montr) of October due to the lack of a
quorum.
Next in order the Clerk presented the resignation of Couneilmc
Yeaoock which; reade'as follows: -

Gentlemen:
It i's with much regret that I am forced to, thru personal
interests, ask that I be retired aa,a oouncilmanof the City of South
liami
I therefore, respectfully request that this be accepted
as my resignation as a councilman, to become effective immediately. I
also request that this resignation be spread upon the minutes of the
next regular meeting, ti
MY association with the City's officials has been a very
pleasant one, and I deeply regret thet I will not be able to serve the
City in the saine c- pacity as heretofore.
Wishing you as a whole,, and individually, all the success
possible in the City's affairs and personal endeavors as well, I am,

Mr. Burtashaw made a motion that 1r, Pracock's resignation be
accepted, voicing at the same time hi, regrets that sir. �eeacock deemed
it necessary for the council to take such action. 14r. Angelman, seconded'
the motion which carried unanimously.
LSr. Burtushaw then made a motion that -r J. thubbuck be appointed
by the council to fill one of the aCancies in the council. The motion
was seconded by Itr. Anger-nan. The poll of the vote resulted ue follows

The president of the council then declared Lr. Chubbuck elected
and ]layor Foster called L'r. Chubbuck to the floor to take the oath of
office followinLw which Mr. Chubbuck took his seat with the counall
Mr. 'Red otfered in nomination the name of i�r. :august Schmacker to
fill the other remaining vacancy on the council.' There being no other
nominations, the clerk polled the vote which resulted in the affirmatiTe

The president then declared 14r. Schillucker ale cted.a councilman.
Upon motion by councilman Burtashaw seconded by councilman Ak
Chubbuck, the following bills were presented for payment:-

was adjourned upon proper motion which was duly seconded and carried.
