The clerk then presented the following bills;

ncilman 3urtashaw made motion which was seconded by councilman Red tthat these
bills be paid. A poll was taken and the motion carried unanimously.
The Clerk then presented' bills from the Florida Power and Light Co. which upon
motion duly made seconded and carried were passed until the nest regular meeting,
'he council then took up ordinance Xo61 which was presented for its second
reading, the caption of which ordinance is as follows;

same be nresente" at the next rn^eting of the council.
0ouncilman Shelley then made retort of the comrittee whioh was a^pointeR at a previous
meeting to rewrite the occupational license ordinance. Ile reported that inasmuch as this
ordinance was rather complicated, that it was the opinion of the committee that an attorney
should be employed to write same. No action was taken' on this matter.
,71e clerk then read a letter from councilman Peacock In which he stated that he
would be absent from the City for a matter of two months amid requested the council to
grant him a leave of absence.
A motion was duly made seconded and carried that this request be granted and that Mr
Peacock's letter be Filed �;ith time Clerk.
The clerk then read a., letter from the American TAFranoe ,r. Pod rite Industrir s Inc.
retarding past due notes owed this company and for which a renewal note was enclosed in
the letter.
After discussing this 'matter at length the council upon motion duly r.,ade seconded
and carried passed this matter over until the next meeting
The council then tools up discussion of a budret for =the year 1932 and the matter of
making a`tax levy "'or this year.°
After discussing the matter at length a motion was 7r:ade seconded, and carried that
the matrter be passed to the next meeting.
The council then proceeded to canvass the vote of the special City election held
July 1st, 1932 err the i arpose of voting on an ordinance which eras intended to contract
the limits of the lit".
