Minutes of adjourned meeting of the City Council at City Hall, South 'Miami Fla. Aug.
21st, 1931, at 8 P. M
Present were R., J. Lindley President of the Council,, and 'Councilmen, Angerman
Smith, Burtashaw, Red and Shelley,
The meeting was called to 'order by the President, after which the minutes of meet

Ingo held Aug. 4th, and Aug. 17, were read and approved.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, and a poll having been taken,, which poll was
unanimous -, the following bills were ordered paid,
Harley's Service Station-------- - - - - -- 11.27 Gasoline Police Dept.
Donald M. Nelson ------------ - - - - -- -- 50.00 Attorneys Fees o
Councilmen Red then spoke concerning Assets and Liabilities of the City and then
made motion thatbthe Council sell for the sum .of One Dollar ($1.00) and other valuable
consideration to the South Ulami Chamber of Commerce, the furniture and fixtures of the
i City as itemized below, with the expressed understanding, that it is to be held in trust
for the use and benefit of the citizens of South Miami, and should there be in the future

a new town or City incorporated, at this place, the 'lega1 title of said ,property shall
k automatically, and immediately be°retusmed to the new City or Town. The Mayor and City,

Clerk of South Miami, are hereby authorized to sign the transfer.

An allowance of 20.00 was made to D. G. Petrick, for sick benefit, but the cook
was ordered made in favor of Elton Brooke, to be indorsed by him to Patrick, as Brooke
worked in Patrick's place, while he was sick. A poll was taken on this motion and the
motion carried unanimously.
A motion was then made by counoilmen,Burtashew, that the clerk be instructed,
to produce the tillotvboz used at last special election, and theā¢certiflcates of election
be removed therefrom and the box be resealed. This motion received no second.
Motion by councilman Red seconded by councilman Shelley, that the Council ad-
journ, until such'tme as the election board, presents the certificates of past special
elections This adjournment to be subject to call of the president. This motion carried
unanimously.
