23, 1931, at 8 P. M.
Present were R. J. Lindley, president of thr council, and councilmen Smith,
Angermeng Burtasham, Red, and Shelley.
The council was called to,order by the president, after which the council discussed
at length the note held against the City by Lafrance Fire 'engine Co. The council finally
s agreed that Mayor Footer, and councilmah Red, should draft a letter to the Latrance Fire
Engine Co. explaining the condition of the City, and asking for an extension of time
on note due. One copy of letter also to be sent to third National Bank of 'Miami Fla.
The Council then took up the reading of Ordi nance No.,,,Lbhe Caption of which is;;
Ordinance
An ordinance of the City council of the City of South Miami, Fla. Authorizing said
City, to compromise, cancel, and /or extinguish, tax sale certificates held by the City
for the years 1926, 1927, 1028, and 1929, upon payment in fall of all subsequent City - F.
Taxes*
Upon motion duly made and seconded the ordinance was read by president Lindley

The council then discussed at length the question of publication of delinquent
taxes the council finally instructing the aitiy attorney Nelson to render an opinion
on legality of posting delinquent list, at adjourned meeting to be held Friday, June 26/31
Upon motion of councilman Shelley seconded by councilman Angerman, the clerk
was instructed to return to average the property now known as Stewart Manors, located
In Sections 36- 54- 40 and 1- 54- 40. Motion carried.
Upon motion duly made seconded and carried, counciladjourned to meet again
Friday June, 269 at '1931, at 8 P. M.
