Pursuant to adjourned meeting of I+.ay 26th, City Council of ",outh ifiani, convened
in adjourned session.
Present 'were Q, Lindley, president, and,Councilmen Angerman, Smith, Houser,
Burtashaw , Red, and Shelley.
Attorney Relson presented to council letter from Senator 'Watson, containing,copy
of bill, passed by,,the Legislature, giving to City of South Miami, the right to compro-
mise past due taxes.
Attorney Nelson, also -.read telegram from railroad commissionq naming date on
which hearing would,,be held, relative to a depot agent at South Miami, and upon motion
of councilman Red, second by councilman Angernan, the 3ity ^lerk was instructed to draw
check for the 'amount, of Fifty dollars, in favor of Donald Y. Nelson City Attorney,, to
be used by him'to defray expenses of a trip to Tallahassee, where he is to appear before
the Railroad Commission, as representative of the ',ity of South Irliami,, relative to the
matter of a depot agent at this City. 'the council was polled and the motion carried
Unanimously.'
U-on motion duly moved en4- seconded, and carried, the City Clerk was instructed
to accept Occupational taxes for the current year, according to the revised list, of
occupational taxes adopted by the council at this meeting, said list being given to
City attorney; for the purpose of drafting an amended Ordinance on occupational taxes.
Upon motion of councilman Angennan, seconded by councilman Shelley councilredjour
