Minutes of adjourned regular meeting City Council, City 'Hall,
Slay 13th, read, corrected and approved.
"Motion made by Councilman Red that the services of Mr. Purvis of
Purvis, Ring and Mahony, Bank of Bay Biscayne Bldg., Miami, be accepted in
making an audit of all - accounts, assets and liabilities of the City of South
Miami, Friday, May 22nd, 1931 at compensation of ;x35.00.. Duly seconded and
carried unanimously by acclamation.

BILLS
A bill of Florida East Coast ?1y. Co:., dated May 15th, 1931, for rent
of Park was reed and ordered paid.
A bill of Donald M. Nelson, City Attorney,, for services for months of
April, and stay, 1931, was ordered paid. / U ,

President Lindley appointed H. F., Shelley, Street Commissioner;
Harry M. Hauser, Fire Commissioner; P. J. Teed, Finance.
Councilman Shelley made partial report by letter from Florida
Railroad Commission in regard to closing of F. E C. Ry. station at South
MIAMI.
President Lindley reported vacancy in the Council. Harry M.
Hauser nominated by f,ouncilman Red to fill the vacancy. Nominations closed,
and Harr+,/ Me Hauser unanimously elected by poll to be member of City Council.

Councilman 'Shelley nominated Mayor Foster to be Judge of the
ISunicipal (3ourt of the City if South Miami. Dominations duly closed and
Mayor Foster unanimously elected. - President Lindley then administered
the oath of off ice and declared Mayor Foster to be Judge of the' 1Junicipal
Court.
Councilman Red made a motion to accept the resignation. of
A. IT-. Chubbuck as City Clerk, City l'reasurer, Tax Collector, ^ax Assessor , "„r:.
Building Inspector, Electrical Inspector,_Police Officer and Clerk of the
11unicipal Court of the,City of South Mani, as soon as his successor could
be qualified and the audit be made. sly seconded and carried unanimously
by acclamation.
Motion duly made, seconded and carried to 'tame up election of
new City Clerk.

ITlotion made, seconded and unanimously carried that City Piz bond
for City Clerk at three thousand dollars (;xA,000.70) f:or faithful performance
of duty in office.
Mr. J. Z. Yarborough duly nominated by Ur. Red to the offices of
City. Clerk, City Treasurer, ''ex Collector, `,nx Assessor, Building Inspector,
Electrical Inspector, Police Officer and Cleric of the Municipal Court.
President Lindley closed nominations.

President Lindley then declared J. L. Yarborough to be duly elected to the
offices of City Clerk, Plity Treasurer, :'ax collector, rbx Assessor, Building
Inspector, Sanitary Inspector, Electrical Inspector, Police officer and
Clerk. of the Uunicinal Court.
Clerk oruered to have insurance ronwed on Police car and
Garbage :'ruck - insurance to be personal liability insurance to the amount
of ''en 1-1hotigand ?collars ('�,10,000.00) each.
