11inutes of the regular meeting of the City Council held_
Tuesday evening, February 18, 1530.
President 'Myers called the meeting to order. Councilman
Manship was the only absentee.
The minutes of the'meetng of February 4th, 1930 were read
and approved,
Councilmen Geiger and Bryant made 'and seconded a motion that
Resolution #51 designating the Miami Riviera hewspaper as the
medium for advertising our,, to :e. sake f or the 1929 tax roll, be adopted.'
The following, is the resolution above mentioned:
RESOLUTION NO. 51
A RESOWTI'ON SELECTING A NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED
IN DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, IN VJ1HICH SHALL BE
PUBLISHED ANY REAli ESTATE IN THE CITY OF SOUTH
1,gAMI, FLORIDA, 'UPON WHICH THE TAXES SHALL NOT
HAVE BEIM PAID ON OR REFn RE THE FIRST DAY OF
APRIL, 1930.
WHEREAS, the laws of the State of Florida require
that a newspaper "be selected in which there shall be
published a list of the real estate upon which taxes shall
not be paid before the ;f irst day of April of any year, and
WHEREAS, there is no newspaper published in the
City of 0outh Miami, Florida,
NON, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED That the Mayor and
the Council of the City of South Vi ami select The _Miami �
Riviera of Coral Gables,: a newspaper which has been con-
tinuously Fublished in Dade County, Florida, for a period .
of not less than one (1'), year prior to this date, in which
there shall be published a list of any real estate upon
which taxes shall not be »aid on or prior to the first day
of Agri 1, A. D. 193,00
Passed at the regular meeting of the Council of
South Miami, Florida, held this 18th day of February A.D.
1930.
The vote was taken by poll and Resolution 4,51 was unanimous-
ly adopted.
Councilmen Shelley and Core' made and seconded a motion which
was unanimously carried that Resolution #62 designating the Miami
R viera Newspaper as the official paper for all legal advertising
for the City of S=th Miami, be adopted.
The meeting was then adjourned in the regular form.
