1929-07-16 MINUTES CITY COUNCIL MTGit �v1 r� July 16 , 1929 Minute's of the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South Miami, Fla., held Tuesday evening July 16, 19290 President Myers called the meeting to order. All councilmen were Dresent. The minutes of the Council meeting'of July ', 1929, were read and approved. i5 President Itiyers announced that the council would be glad to hear 'from any of the citizens present relative to the new budget as this was tLe meeting advertized for a public heating on same. There being no objections +raised -by the citizens present, Ordinance #46, the title of which is APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH I,IIAMI, FLA.:, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1929 AND ENDING JUNE 30 1930 was read for its third reading. Councilmen Core and Smith made and seconded a motion that Ordinance #46 be adopted. On Dolling the vote, Councilmen Bryant, ' Core, 'Manship, Smith, Shelley and I ;yers voted Yes; Councilman Ross, No. Ordinance 7146 was then declared regularly adopted. v Ordinance #47 was then read for its third reading, the title being: AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE ASSESSMENT OF TAXES FOR GENERAL IVNICIPAL PIM20SE'S OF TIM CITY OF 'SOUTH MIAMI, P'LA , FOR THE YEAR 1929. Councilmen Core and Shelley made and seconded a motion that Ordinance 447 be adopted. On polling the vote, Councilmen `Brt� ant, Core, Manship, Smith, Shelley and Myers. voted Yes; Councilman Ross, No. Ordinance #47 was declared regularly adopted.
