President Y;yers called the meeting to order. All councilmen
answered to roll. call,.
The minutes of the council meeting of April. 16, 1929 were read
and approved.
Councilmen Core and Bryant 'made and seconded a motion that
was unanimously carried by poll that the bills as read and okayed
by the ,proper committeemen be paid.
Ordinance No. 43, the title of which is: AUTHORIZING THE
SOUTHERN BELL TE,LPHONE AqD TELEGRAPH CO?,TANY TO USE THE PUBLIC'
STREETS OF THE, CITY OF SOUTH 1,IIAM, F,ORIDA, FOR THE ?URPOSE OF
PLACING POLLS AND MECTRICAL CONDJOTORS THEREIN, was read word
for word and section by section for its third reading,
Councilmen Shelley and Core mdde and seconded a motion that
was unanimously carried by poll that Ordinance #43 be adopted. It
was ,so ordered.
It was regularly moved, seconded and unanimously carried by
Councilmen Ross-and Smith that the. First Siren the City has on trial
be returned to the Grether Co. and a new one purchased at less cost,
President Y.yers appointed Cou.cilmen Shelley, Bryant and Core on
the Railroad Stat ion "commit tee.
It was regularly moved, seconded and unanimously carried by poll
that the P.L.P.D. & C. Insu-rance on the Ford and Chevrolet be re-
newed.
The meeting was then adjourned in the 'regular form.
