President Dyers called the meeting to order,'
Councilmen; Smith and Bryant were absent.
The minutes of the council meeting of April 2,; '1929 were read
and approved.
An Ordinance No. 43, the title of wi:ich is: AUTHORIZING THE
SOUTHERN R�L TELEPHONE AND TELEGRA?H COATANY TO USE TM'; PUBLIC
STREETS OF THE CITY OF 3OUTH MIAMI, FLORIDA, FOR THE PUR2QSE OF
PLACING POLES ADD ELECTRICAL CONDUCTORS THEREIN' was read word for
word and section oy section for it's first reading,
Councilmen Ross and Core made and seconded a motion that was
unanimously carried that Ordinance No. 43 be read by title only.
This was done and constituted the second reading of Ordinance No. 43
Councilmen Ross and blanship made and seconded a motion that
'the real nro,oerty tax delinquent date be extended to June 1, 1929.
On polling the vote the motion was carried.
Councilmen Shelley and Core made and seconded a: motion that a
committee be appointed to expedite the oui`Tding of a new railway
+ station in South Miami. All members present voted in the. affirma -
Live.
Councilmen Shelley and Ross made and seconded a motion which
was unanimously carried that s,WO.00 be transferred to the Fire Dept.
salary account from the Fire beDt. Miscellaneous account,
Councilmen Ross and Nansh p made' arA seconded a motion that
was unanimously carried that $150.00 be transferred to the Police
Traffic Light and Signs Account from the Administration Tr scellan
eous Account.
The meeting then adjourned in the regular form.
