The minutes of the regular meeting of the City Council held'
October '18, 1927 at 8:0.0 P.M. in the City Hall on Sunset Road.:
President Paxson called the meeting to order. All councilmen
were present.
The clerk read the minutes of the council meeting of October 4th
which were apnroved., r
Councilman Dorn moved and Council Stang seconded a motion that
Attorney ,Sullivan be authorized to select and make the best; possible
contract on Vie engraving of bonds for Improvement District #2 and
y that the Alabama Realty & Investment Co. be asked to pit up; the cash
for cost of said engraving before any firm is authorized to engrave
same. Upon being nut to vote the motfon_was unanimously carried.
It was regularly moved, seconded and unanimously carried that
the franchise as presented by the' telephone com_oany be tabled until
next i6eeting _

the petition of the tax `payers in 'the west half of Sect_te the

motion was declared unanimously carried. -'

Councilman Martin moved and Councilman Janes seconded a motion
that Ordinance #33 be read by title only. Upon polling; the,,vote,
the motion was declared unanimously carried.]

The clerk then read Ordinance #33 by title. This constituted
the second reading. f1
Councilman Martin moved and Councilman Darrs seconded a motion
that the bills as okayed by Councilman 'Dorn be paid. On polling the
vote the motion was unanimously carried.
I't was regularly moved,, seconded andunanimously carried that
the clerk purchase twenty -f.ur chairs.
It was regular "y moved, seconded and carried that the meeting
adjourn.
