Sullivan ? on this committee., r -` Councilman J. B Janes moved and Councilman,W.L G. Stang seconded, a motion authorizing the purchase of a truck for `the Sanitary !Dept,, When put to vote Councilmen Je B. Janes, John Myers, J. W. Barry and 71. G. Stang - 'voted yes; Councilman H. 411. Dorn voted no. The clerk then read Ordinances #27, , #28 and #29 word_ for word, and section by section for the third reading of each and as each section of each ordinance was read it was approved. Barrs moved"and Councilman J. B._ Janes seconded a motion that Ordinances #27, #28 and #29 be adooted. upon being put to; vote ` the, motion was carried unanimously. Councilman; H. W Dorn moved and Councilman W. G. Stang seconded a motion that Resolutions #27 and #28 as read by the clerk be adopted:. Upon being put to vote the motion was carried. w RESOLUTION #27. BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of South Miami, that whereas the Town Council of the Town.of South Miami did on the 19th day of October, 1926, pass Resolu tion #18 and on the.4th day of November, 1926, pass Resolu- tion 20, and C WHEREAS due to legal complications said resolutions were never executed, and whereas the contracts let under said ; Resolutions #18 and #20 have been surrendered by the parties of the second part in said contracts, and whereas since the + passage of the aforesaid Resolutions #18 and #20 the Town of South - Mi,4, mt: -,has been incorporated by the Legislature of the State of Florida, into the City of South Miami, and whereas the said Council desires to re'voke.said Resolutions #18 and #20 of the Town of South Miami. -, a BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the said Resolutions #16 and #20 be and the same are 'hereby declared null, void and of no effect,. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the contracts entered into between the Town of South 'Miami and W. T. Price, Inc. be and .the same are hereby cancelled and the contract entered into between the Town of South Miami and Duboise Construction Co. be and the same is hereby cancelled. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bonds given by W. T. Price, Inc. and Duboise Construction Co. be and they are hereby dissolved and surrendered and the sureties thereon forever released and discharged from any and all liability by reason of said bonds.
