in the Town Hall on Sunset Road.
The meeting was called to order by the President of the Council
J. `f. Paxson.
The clerK called the roll and, found the folldwing mentioned
Aldermen answered to roll calk: J. Paxson, Jno. IJ;yers, J. "t. 'Sarrs,,

The clerk read the minutes of the regular meeting of the Town
Council :held Tuesday even:iPg March lbth,, lac ^7 and they were approved
as read,
The 'res'ident o:' Ahe Council. then called on the variotcs
committeemen for re-norts.
Mr 3arrs,, committeeman on 3usildings reported a num )er of peool e
wi shed to build frame houses within our fire zone. After a general
discussion it was decided the zoning ordinance toot', in too much
territory and the engineer was ir.stzacted to draft a new one.
The cler, then read. a letter from the r.E.C. R.P.. Co. and the
State 'r . R. Comm, scion relative to the reb .ilding of the station in
so-.th N'lami. Attorxev Sullivan was instructed by the Council to follow
' up this situation,;
' After a general discussion on lower insurance rates for the Town
of So.,.th Miami, the cler4c was instructed to write the Engineeri.n De ,t
of the Southern Underwri ters at, Atl:anta is find o_,t just what the
Tovrn rrou' d have to provide to reduce our rates from that of o oen
country.
The " President oi' the Council a:axed if there was any visitor who
wished to say a few words. IFr. idein suggested a change in the route
of the Rao-id Transit as )roDosed and after a genera" d=s;a4ssion a
committee was appointed to de•tE= rr,ine 'the feasibility of the i)lan as
uggested by Mr. '_Ce n.
1r. Sullivan reported that the charter 'to oe presented to the
.legizllature now in session wa ; aooa:t complete.
A'd'eriman W. G. Stang made u trotion to reconsider the Graenicher
tax refund, Wn'ch was seconded by Alderman J. 3. Janes.' i-pon, being a•.t
to vote the motion was carried.
IL'Iderman J. B. Janes made a motion that the Tav Collector be
instructed to collect taxes as levied on the Gxaenicherl,and a:.d that
he be empowered by the tov.n council, t mace a ,refund on one -third the,:
tax to the tax Xja;ter. ,yotion was seconded by Alderman 116 "1. ')orn;

Alderman J. W. 3arrs made; a motion that rhea ; "r. Airey be
appointed Deputy Cleric and Derou'ty Tax Collector until we 'heard from
Geo. A. Airey. - Potion was seconded by Alderman Martin and on being
put to vote the motion was carried all votes bey "_
The Council i.ns'tructed the Clerk; Tax Collector and Marshal
to furrish,surety bonds as required b,y the Town Code.

Alderman 3arrs made a motion that the 'Town Clerc nay Collins
Paving Co. "25.00 and charge dame to ?3rundage. I1 of on was seconded
by Alderman Janes and uno*i being nut to vote was carried.
Alderman 3arrs made a motion that the Deputy Clerc receive ,;'50.00
for services rendered last month. 11"otion was seconded by Alderman
Janes and unon being p-•zt to vote was carried.

A motion was made by Alderman Yyers that the meeting adjourn to
April 13th, 1927, at 8 P.11. ?•lotion seconded by Alderman Janes and ution
