Minutes of a Special Call, Meeting of the Town Council of
the, `Town of South Prliami, Fla, , held Friday evening, November 26,;
192:6, at 8:00 P.rf.,, in the Town Hall on Sunset Road as per
notice issued by the mayor which read as follows:

ing bids and awarding contract on I.M iroveme.nt District 1.

The meeting was called to order by the President, J.L.2axson.
The Clerk then proceeded to call the roll, the following`
mentioned members answering to roll call; J. L. Paxson, J.,','. Barrs,,
J. B. Janes, Jno. 1 %Wers,, R. 7j. L %ruin and 'i ;. G. Stang. Alderman

H. 11. Dorn was absent. ,,,
The President then sta lid the purndse of the meeting; was to
open bids and award contract ~'for Imorovem;ent District „L1.
The Clerx proceeded to open the bids.
The first bid opened was that of 71. T. Price, Inc. A certified
check for the required a =unt accompanied the oid. The total price
bid was 4x94, 440.50 and the time in which_ the work "was to be com-
pleted was 90 days.
The second bid was that of H. .J. Clark ec Sons; Inc. of !- Miami. -
A certified check for the required amo,nt accompanied the bid. The
total price bid was ,111,496.50 and the time asked to complete the
work was 90 days.
A comparison of the two bids showed the bid of W. T. Price to be
the lowest. After a short discussion of the auestion by the Council
a motion was made by J. 3. Janes that contract for .,Imorovemen't Dis-
trict ,11 be awarded to 71. T. ,Price, Inc., the bid of that company
being the lowest.
Motion was seconded by Alder; n J. 'Jd. Barrs. A vote on the
motion was taken b-7 7;poll and showed the followin result: "Yes ",
J. J9: Marrs, J. B. Janes, ',V. G. Stang, Jno. ?a 'ers a.id R. L. ;'artin.

The President of the Council, J. ',. Paxson thereupon declared
the contract for Imorovenent District �rll duly awarded to N, T. Price,
Inc,
