8:00 'P.M. in the Town Hall on Sunset Road cursuant to the adjournment
of a Regular Meeting held Tuesday evening,, 'November 2nd..
Pfeeting was called to order by the President of the Council,

The Clerk then proceeded to read The r;inutes of the meet' 'ing
of October 19th, 1926, and minutes were approved as read.
He then read the minutes of a Special Meeting of Oct. 2181

a;id on motion made by ',J., G.{) Stang and seconded by J. VV. Barrs', whic=h
was 'put to vote and carried he was instructed to revise tfie minutes
by omitting the details.
The Clerk then read the minutes of the Special M6eting held

October 27th and November 2nd, 1926, and they were' approved as reed.
A request was made by Presi :ent Pax on for reports from the

., various committeemen.

hurricane rehabilitation relief would be illegal.
Mr. Reeder was as.ced by. President Paxson to ey:olain,to the
councilmen a plan which he has been working on to have the glade -
section of the Town of South Miami drained by the construction of a
canal.
Mr. Reeder informed the council that he believed some results
could be obtained by taking the :ratter up with the Sout Tern Drainage {
Board with a view to having them use some of the funds obtained
through drainage taxes paid by property owners in their general taxes
each year.
Mir. 'Reeder also brow -,ht up the matter of having Snap,)er Creek
Canal widened from the F. E.C.; R.Y. to Biscayne Bay;.

A motion was made by Alderman 1l1. G. Stand and seconled by
Alderman H. W. Dorn that ;a committe=e be appointed by the President
of the Council,
Motion was pat to vote and carried, all votes being in the
affirmative.
President Paxson appointed Mir. ,11. G. Stang and H. W. Dorn on the
committee and state.i he,would work with the committee in trying to get

some action oy the Southern drainage Boarl.

divided by the total number of front feet directly
benefited by said imrovements and the resultant

That the Special Assessments 'evied „4upon the hereinbefore- described
propert y for said im -provements shall be paid in ten (10) equal annual
installments, with interest at the rate of six per cent (6 %) per annum,
payable annually.

That no part of the cost for making said improvements shall be paid
from the general improvement fund of the Town of South.14riami, Fi�or a.

That the total estimated coFt of said improvements is One Hundr
Seventy Six Thousand Dollars (;176,000. ) ='

After a general discussion of the improvement referred to in the
resolution by the members of the Council, a motion was made by J. IN.
Barrs that the resolution be „passed and adooted as read.
The motion was seconded by Alderman H. W. Dorn.
The motion was nut to vote and vote taken by poll. The record of
the -poll is as f ollows : J. '1.'.. Bar•rs - yes ; J. h%yers - yes ; J B. Janes w
yes;, R. L. Martin yes'; H. VV. Dorn yes; 71. G. Stang yes. These
being no negative votes the motion was unanimously carried.
Thereupon J. ?1. Paxson, Pr.sident of the Cuuncl, declared 4
Resolution ]20 iuly 'passed and ado -oted. LTe ex,ressed himself as being
in favor of the resolution.
There being no further b:.siness to come before the board a motion
was made by Alderman * yers to adjo,.rn to the next Regular 3:eeti.ng,
Tuesday, November 16th, 1,-.26.
The motion was seconded b ?i J. W. Barrs and upon being voted on,
was carried, all votes being in the affirmative.
