Minutes of a Special Yeeting 'of the Town' Council of the Town
of South ?iami, ka' held Thursday evenizQ, Oct. 21, 1926 a`i the
Town Hall on Sunset Road�'pursuant to a call issued by the Mayor
for the cur pose of giving a hear ing to the Town Marshall and poll ce
officer on account "of a request being made by the Toy --,n Council for
their resignation".
The meeting was called to order by <,the President of the Board

J. L. Paxson.
The Clerx called the roll and found the following mentioned
"
member �is present: J. -. Paxson, J. '. Barrs, Jno. Ryers, J. B. Janes,'
R. L. Martin and H. N. Dorn. Alderman W. G. Stang Was absent.
The President J. L. P,-xson then stated the puroo.e of the meeting
and as�ced that the
members of the Council file specific charges
against Marshall Fleming. After a general discussion of the various
complaints which had been made against Inarshal?+Fleming, there being
no specific charges made, Alderman J. Y.F. Harrs made 'a motion that
the case against 1%rshal' Fleming be dropped for lacx of evidence.
The motion was, seconded oy Alderman J. B. Janes and was voted
"on by poll. The tally showed three affirmat've and two negative
votes and, was declared carried.
Alderman Jno. TiVers then made a motion that case against=
Officer J. P!. ICo -on be dropped with a reprimand ;from the Mayor.

There being no further, bus -ness to come before the board a
motion wasnmade by Alderman LAyers to adjo,,rn:
