Minutes of a Special Meeting of the Town Council of the
ToWn of South; R iami, held 'fdednesday evening Sept. 29th, 192.y at
7 :30 ,P,.M. pursuant to the adjournment of the S -ecial Meeting of; the Council held Tuesday evening, Sept. 26th.
The President called the Special Afeet�n g to orde ^and
requested the-.,;Clerk to call the roll. Upon roll being called the
Clerk found the following members of the Board present: J. L. Paxson,
J. W. Barrs, J. B. Janes, 71. G. Stang, R. I. Fartin, Jno. hyers
and H. W. Dorn.
President Paxson called on ?ayor Foster to conduct the in
vestigation of Officer Fleming's conduct.
°Testimony evas taken -from Mr. Collins, the party supposed to
have been mistreated by Marshall Fleming; also fram Per. -Afack Collins,
his brother, and from G. A. Smith, one of the persons present at
she time the offence was supposed to have occurred.
After hearing these statements and a report from Marshal
Fleming regarding the charges made, the members of the board con-
cluded there was not sufficient rounds for taki g g any action against
Marshall Fleming other than to caution him to be very careful of his
-1 conduct in the future.
z; A motion was made by Alderman Jno. Myers and seconded o,y F
Alderman R. L. Martin that the matted be dropped,
The motion was put to vote and carried, all votes being in the <`
w� affirmative.
There being no further business to come before the board, a
motion was made by Alderman Jno. MfVers and seeonred.by Alderman
Martin that meeting adjourn to the next regular meeting Tuesday,

Motion was voted on and carried, all votes being Aye. `
