" Alderman Barr's <;reported that-town engineer was instructed to locate property line of Canning Factory building at intersection of Hinson and Red 'Road and that engineer advised building vas inside of property line. The clerk was then instractdct to read G :dinence No. 2, by title, Which read as';' follows: - "An Ordinance providing for and Regulating the Cornoration, engaged in business, profess -on or occupat;on in the tmn, of South Miami, firing the License taxes for the year April 16t 1986 , in& for each succeedin g year until repealed; Regul ^ting` and restricting Licenses applied for after April lst of every year;r Providing germs under which such Licenses mr-.y be obtained; Regulating the carrying on of business under such "license, and providing a penalty for the violation of the Ordinance. Alderman Stang made a motion th ^t all acts did end performed by,thi's Board of Aldermen of the Town of °South Miami, before the date of filing with the Clerk of the Circuit Court a transcript of the fninutes of the meeting of Fa.rch 2nd, 1926, as required by the Statutea of the State of Florida be hereby confirmed and ratified as the ' proceedings and acts of this loan Council, as and of this date. Alderman R. L. Llartin seconded the motion. Notion was put to vote and ,carried, � o all Votes being in the a:'firmative Alderman Stang moved that the foll `rin g resolution be aL'apted by the Town Council a of the Tom of South Miami Be it resolved that the tom clerk be authorized to open a bank account in the name of -the Town of Oouth Miami, with the Co:nmer910.1 Bank and Trust Company of Miami, Florida, and that all Vouchers drawn against that account shall be sigied by H. W. Dorn, '. Committeeman on Finance, J. L. Paxson, President of Council, and George A. Airey, Torn Clerk, and that the resolution be incorporated in the minutes of this meeting. Godwin for special police duty without pay. Alderman Stang seconded the motion which was catried,when put to vote. 3 p The May then appointed 11r'. U. The Marshal was instructed by the Board of Aldermen to use every effort to close up all places in which intoxicating liquor w -s being sold in the Toy,,n of South Miami. o A motion was made by llaerman Dorn that the President of the Board appoint a: committee of three to work with the "11ayor in formulating plans for a clean up week beginning Monday'. April 12th, 1526. e °. Motion was seconded by Alderman Stang and. upon being put to vote was carried.- President Paxson appointed 111. G.' Stang, R. L. Martin and George A. Airey as members of that committee with Ilayor Foster as Chairman. Moved by H. W. Dorn and seconded by J. W. Barrs that Town Clerk be authorized to hire a typist to assist him in making up copies of the Code nnd' various Ordinances being adopted. The motion was voted on and carried. It was moved by J. i7. Barrs And seconded by J;.,B. Janes the front of the store of Omar Stang on Dixie Highway be designated as ,. the public 'market place far the Tot:*n of South Miami for the purpose of indicating a place at which the Code and all Ordinances shall 1 e posted in compliance with the Statutes of, the State of Florida.' This motion was put to 'vote and carried all members voting, Irl the Affirmative.
