GENERAL NOTES
1. CONTRACTORS SHALL FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH MECHANICAL AND PLUMBING DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
NEITHER THE DRAWINGS NOR THE SPECIFICATIONS SHALL BE COMPLETE WITHOUT THE OTHER.
2. PRIOR TO FINAL RID, THE PLUMBING CONTRACTOR SHALL VISIT THE SPACE AND FIELD VERIFY THE LOCATIONS OF
ALL EXISTING PIPING TO REMAIN, UTILITY STUB -INS, ETC., FOR MECHANICAL AND PLUMBING SYSTEMS WITHIN THE
SPACE. ALL TAP FEES, IMPACT FEES AND PUBLIC ASSESSMENT FEES SHALL BE INCLUDED IN THIS CONTRACTOR'S

3. PLUMBING CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CONFORMANCE TO ALL LOCAL CODES AND HEALTH DEPARTMENT
REGULATIONS. PROVIDE CLEARANCE FOR CLEANING BEHIND AND UNDER EXPOSED PIPING AS REQUIRED BY HEALTH
DEPARTMENT. CONFORM TO HEALTH DEPARTMENT REQUIREMENTS FOR LOCATIONS OF FLOOR SINKS AND FLOOR
DRAINS. ENTIRE INSTALLATION SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH BUILDING CODE, STATE AND /OR LOCAL HEALTH
AUTHORITIES.
4. PLUMBING CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL EQUIPMENT ROUGH -INS AND DETERMINE THE MOST FEASIBLE AND
ECONOMICAL LOCATION TO INSTALL THE NEW WASTE LINES BELOW THE EXISTING SW, BASED ON CURRENT
PLUMBING CONDITIONS. ROUGH -INS SHOWN ARE FOR EQUIPMENT ITEMS SUPPLIED BY KITCHEN EQUIPMENT VENDOR.
ALL EQUIPMENT SUPPLIED BY OTHERS MUST BE VERIFIED BY THE RESPECTIVE TRADES, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED
INDIVIDUALLY. PROVIDE SHUT -OFF VALVES TO EACH PLUMBING FIXTURE AND WHERE NOTED ON PLANS. FOR
EQUIPMENT SCHEDULE, SEE DRAWING P400. FOR PLUMBING FIXTURE SCHEDULE, SEE DRAWING P400.
5. PLUMBING CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL FINAL CONNECTIONS TO THE BASE BUILDING SYSTEMS.
6. ALL ROOF PENETRATIONS, PATCHING AND FLASHING SHALL BE BY THE ROOFING CONTRACTOR AT THE EXPENSE OF
THE PLUMBING CONTRACTOR.
7. ALL DIMENSIONS ARE FROM FINISHED WALLS AND /OR COLUMN CENTERLINES. FLOOR DIMENSIONS: "AFF (ABOVE
FINISHED FLOOR)- ARE TO THE CENTERLINE OF THE ROUGH -IN.
S. ALL WATER LINES SHALL HAVE AN ACCESSIBLE SHUT OFF VALVE AT EACH CONNECTION POINT.
9. PLUMBING CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL NEW HAND SINKS, MOP SINKS, AND HOSE BIBBS WITH MIXING VALVES AND
VACUUM BREAKERS.
10. ALL PLUMBING MATERIALS AND LABOR NECESSARY TO PERFORM COMPLETE CONNECTION OF EQUIPMENT WILL BE
PROVIDED BY PLUMBING CONTRACTOR.
11. PLUMBING CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL CONDITIONS AND SHALL REPORT ANY CONFLICTS TO THE
ARCHITECT /ENGINEER PRIOR TO THE START OF WORK.
12. FOR ALL FIXTURES: HOT is COLD WATER CONNECTIONS ARE 1/2" UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
13. ALL HOT AND COLD WATER PIPING TO BE INSULATED WITH FIBERGLASS INSULATION PER THE INTERNATIONAL ENERGY
CONSERVATION CODE. COLD WATER PIPING TO HAVE CONTINUOUS VAPOR BARRIER.
14. CONTRACTOR TO FIELD VERIFY THAT GAS PRESSURE CAN BE DELIVERED TO SITE AT A MINIMUM OF 14 IN WC. GAS
LINES SHALL HAVE AN ACCESSIBLE SHUT OFF VALVE AT EACH CONNECTION.
15. PLUMBING CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL ANSUL VALVE IN ACCESSIBLE LOCATION. INSTALLATION SHALL BE IN
ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER'S INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND ALL LOCAL CODES.
16. ALL NEW /EXISTING NATURAL GAS PIPING TO BE SUPPORTED /RESUPPORTED WITH NEW POLY SUPPORTS. NATURAL
GAS PIPING SHALL BE PRIMED AND PAINTED.
17. WATER LINES TO BE INSIDE OF WALLS, SURFACE MOUNTED WORK IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
18. PLUMBING CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE AND INSTALL WATER HAMMER ARRESTORS IN LINE BEFORE ALL SOLENOID
VALVES. I.E. AT DISHWASHER, DISPOSER(S), ICE MAKER(S), STEAMER(S), ETC.

WORKING ORDER. CONTRACTOR SHALL REFURBISH AND /OR REPLACE BURNERS, IGNITORS,
T&P VALVE. FLUSH AND SANITIZE UNITS IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL CODE REQUIREMENTS.
OPROVIDE BALANCING GLOBE VALVE AND CHECK VALVE AT TIE -IN POINT TO RECIRCULATING
SYSTEM.
OPROVIDE 1/4- HW(140') FOR CHEMICAL DISPENSER WITH 1/2" THREADED NIPPLE. SEE DETAIL

INSTALL VALVES ON HORIZONTAL PIPING ABOVE CEILING. COORDINATE LOCATION WITH OWNER
AND ALL OTHER TRADES PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. INSTALL MIXING VALVE ABOVE THE
