GENERAL NOTES
1. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT POUR ANY PORTION OF CONCRETE FLOOR SLAB UNTIL
UNDERGROUND UTILITIES ARE CHECKED BY WINN- DIXIE'S MAINTENANCE
SUPERINTENDENT. ALLOW A MINIMUM OF TWO (2) WEEKS NOTICE PRIOR
TO CHECKING.
2. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE SUB - CONTRACTOR ARRANGE A PRE -JOB
CONFERENCE W /WINN- DIXIE'S CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR FOR REVIEW AND
CLARIFICATION BEFORE STARTING WORK. CALL: PETE ONORATI (954) 783 -2836
3. THE DRAINAGE SYSTEM AS SHOWN IS FUNCTIONAL AND MOST DESIREABLE. IF SUCH
IS NOT LOCALLY ACCEPTABLE, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL OTHER DRAINS AS
REQUIRED. HE SHALL INSTALL ANY VENTS WHICH ARE REQUIRED BY CODE
(WHETHER SHOWN OR NOT). ANY PROPOSED SYSTEM OR CHANGES SHALL BE
APPROVED BY WINN -DIXIE BEFORE ANY WORK IS STARTED. THE ENTIRE PLUMBING

BY FLOOR SLOPE OF 1/16" MIN. PER FOOT IN THOSE AREAS.
9. ALL EXPOSED COPPER IN FOOD PREP AREAS (PRODUCE, MEAT, SEAFOOD, DELI
BAKERY, ETC.) SHALL BE POLISHED WITH EMERY CLOTH AND ONE COAT
CLEAR LACQUER APPLIED.
10. ALL CASE HUB DRAINS SHALL BE 3" BELL FITTINGS.
11. HUB DRAINS FOR COOLER CONDENSATE SHALL BE INSTALLED TIGHT TO WALL AND IN
CONCRETE CURB.
12. SLEEVES IN CONCRETE BLOCK WALLS, FOUNDATIONS AND FLOORS TO BE PROVIDED BY
PLUMBING CONTRACTOR.
13. ALTERATIONS TO EXISTING WORK BEING OF SUCH NATURE THAT ALL
FACETS OF THE WORK BEING IMPOSSIBLE TO DETAIL AND SPECIFY,IT
IS THEREFOR. THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO
CAREFULLY EXAMINE THE BUILDING AND FAMILIARIZE HIMSELF WITH
THE CONDITIONS AND RELATE THESE CONDITIONS TO THE SCOPE OF THE
PROPOSED WORK.
14. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY LOCATION OF EXISTING DRAIN LINES AND
SEWER LINE. HE MAY ROUTE NEW WORK THROUGH THEM IN THE MOST
ECONOMICAL MANNER . IN THE EVENT THE PLUMBING SYSTEM SHOWN
CANNOT BE INSTALLED PROPERLY . IT IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE
CONTRACTOR TO INSTALL A WORKABLE SYSTEM WITHOUT EXTRA COST TO
WINN DIXIE AND CONFORMS TO ALL STATE AND LOCAL CODES.
15. ANY PROPOSED SYSTEM OR CHANGES SHALL BE APPROVED BY WINN -DIXIE
BEFORE ANY WORK IS STARTED.
16 ALL DIMENSIONS ON THIS DRAWING ARE CUMULATIVE AND ARE TAKEN
FROM FINISH FACE OF MASONRY AND FINISHED WALLS, UNLESS NOTED

19. ALL NEW AND EXISTING SOIL LINES SHALL BE PROPERLY VENTED AND
HAVE A FLOOR CLEAN OUT (F C /O) AT THE END OF ALL RUNS.
20. ALL NEW DRAIN LINES TO BE A MINIMUM OF 4" IN DIAMETER.
21. ALL DRAINAGE PIPING SHALL BE PVC. DWV SCH. 40 IF ALLOWED BY
CODE. CAST IRON SOIL PIPE WITH PUSH JOINTS UNDERGROUND AND
NO -HUB JOINTS ABOVEGROUND MAY BE USED. CARE IS TO BE COMPACTED
MECHANICALLY.
22. CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH AND INSTALL ANY NECESSARY CLEANOUTS
