GAS PIPING NOTES:
1. GAS PIPE SIZES BASED ON PRESSURE DROP OF 0.5, WATER COL. GAS
SPECIFIC GRAVITY OF 0.6 AND SCHEDULE 40 BLACK STEEL PIPE 4.00 W.C.
MINIMUM PRESSURE AND 14.00 W.C. MAXIMUM PRESSURE.
2. GAS PIPING SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA -54 AND
THE STANDARD GAS CODE. (1991)
3. THE INSTALLATION SHALL BE FOR PROPANE GAS AND BE INSTALLED BY
A LICENSED SUB - CONTRACTOR. (VERIFY SUPPLIER)
4. A NEW GAS METER AND PRESSURE REGULATOR SHALL BE PROVIDED BY
THE UTILITY COMPANY.
5. GAS PIPING SHALL BE SCHEDULE 40 SEAMLESS BLACK STEEL PIPE AND
BLACK IRON FITTINGS. GAS PIPING OUTSIDE THE BUILDING SHALL BE
PAINTED WITH BLACK 'RUSTOLEUM' PAINT.
6. GAS PIPING SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH DRIP POCKETS AND DIRT LEGS
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CODE REQUIREMENTS.
7. A GAS COCK AND QUICK- RELEASE FITTING SHALL BE PROVIDED AT ALL
GAS APPLIANCES W/ CHAIN RESTRAINTS.
8. PROVIDE AN ACCESSIBLE MECHANICALLY OPERATED UL APPROVED GAS
VALVE BELOW CEILING FOR EMERGENCY SHUT -OFF. COORDINATE WITH FIRE
PROJECT SYSTEM. GAS VALVE SHALL BE MANUALLY RE -SET.
9. SEE SEPARATE HOOD DRAWINGS AND HOOD DETAILS FROM HOOD
MANUFACTURER.
10. ALL GAS VALVES WILL BE INSTALLED IN ACCESSIBLE LOCATION.
