GENERAL
1. ALL CONTROLS SHALL BE FURNISHED AND INSTALLED BY AN INDEPENDENT HONEYWELL
AUTHORIZED CONTROLS CONTRACTOR.
2. THE CONTROLS CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A SHOP DRAWING OF THE PROPOSED CONTROLS
TO THE ENGINEER FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL.
3. LOW VOLTAGE (24V) CONTROL WIRING SHALL BE PROVIDED BY THE CONTROLS
SUBCONTRACTOR. THE ELECTRICAL SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE CONDUIT FOR ALL
CONTROL WIRING, AS COORDINATED WITH THE CONTROLS SUBCONTRACTOR. ALL
CONDUIT SHALL BE RUN SQUARE WITH BUILDING LINES.
4. LINE VOLTAGE (120V AND HIGHER) CONTROL AND POWER WIRING AND CONDUIT SHALL BE
PROVIDED BY THE ELECTRICAL SUBCONTRACTOR UNLESS THE CONTROLS CONTRACTOR IS
LICENSED FOR SUCH WORK.
DEVICES
S. THE THERMOSTATS SHALL BE HONEYWELL, DIGITAL, 7 -DAY PROGRAMMABLE WITH
4 MODES PER DAY AND MULTI STAGE CAPACITY,
6. TEMPERATURE SENSORS SHALL BE WALLPLATE STYLE, HONEYWELL MODEL #C7772.
7. ALL THERMOSTATS SHALL BE LOCATED IN THE OFFICE, ABOVE THE DOOR AS SHOWN ON
THE PLANS.
d. ALL SENSORS SHALL BE 60" AFF.
SEQUENCE OF OPERATION
9. ALL OF THE BUILDING'S EXHAUST AND INTAKE EQUIPMENT SHALL BE INTERLOCKED TO
MAINTAIN POSITIVE BUILDING AIR BALANCE WHILE THE HOODS ARE IN OPERATION.
AS SHOWN ON THE CONTROL WIRING DIAGRAM ON SHEET M1.1, THE 24V CONTROL SIGNAL
FROM THE GREASE FILTRATION UNIT CONTROL PANEL TO THE UNIT SHALL BE
INTERCEPTED AND USED TO POWER A SERIES OF RELAYS (ONE PER THERMOSTAT).
THE RELAYS SHALL ENERGIZE THE "OCCUPIED" STATUS OF THE THERMOSTATS THEREBY
FORCING THE SYSTEM FANS TO RUN AND THE OUTSIDE AIR DAMPERS TO OPEN,
REGARDLESS OF THE TIME OF DAY. ANOTHER RELAY SHALL BE PROVIDED TO INTERLOCK
THE PUBLIC TOILET EXHAUST FAN.
10. THE GREASE FILTRATION UNIT CONTROL PANEL SHALL BE USED TO ENERGIZE THE
THE ANSUL SYSTEM (WHICH SHALL BE PRE -PIPED IN BOTH THE HOODS AND THE
GREASE FILTRATION UNIT). IF THE HOOD SYSTEM IS RELEASED, THE SYSTEM IN THE
GREASE FILTRATION UNIT SHALL ALSO RELEASE, BUT IF THE SYSTEM IN THE GREASE
FILTRATION UNIT IS RELEASED, IT SHALL NOT RELEASE THE SYSTEM UNDER THE HOODS.
THE GREASE FILTRATION UNIT CONTROL PANEL SHALL ALSO BE CONFIGURED TO START
THE FAN IF IT IS NOT ALREADY RUNNING, OR KEEP IT RUNNING, IF EITHER FIRE
SUPPRESSION SYSTEM IS RELEASED.
11. SEE ELECTRICAL (FIRE ALARM) DRAWINGS FOR SMOKE DETECTOR LOCATIONS. THE
FIRE ALARM CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH ALL SMOKE DETECTORS, THE MECHANICAL
CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL THEM IN THE DUCTWORK, AND THE FIRE ALARM CONTRACTOR
SHALL WIRE THEM.
INSTALLATION DOCUMENTAION
12. PROVIDE A LAMINATE PLACARD WITH THE EQUIPMENT TAG FOR EACH PIECE OF SCHEDULED
EQUIPMENT AND FOR EACH THERMOSTAT (IN THE MANAGER'S OFFICE).
ALTERNATELY, EQUIPMENT MAY BE STENCILED.
13. LOCATE A LAMINATED COPY OF THE "CONTROL WIRING DIAGRAM" k THE CONTROLS NOTES
ON THE WALL OF THE MECHANICAL ROOM ABOVE THE SPACE. DOCUMENT ALL AS BUILT
MODIFICATIONS AND /OR SPECIFIC UNIT CONFIGURATION NOTES AS NECESSARY.

THE AC EQUIPMENT IS FURNISHED AND INSTALLED BY THE CONTRACTOR.
2. ILG, SUPREME, AND EXHAUSTO ARE THE ONLY APPROVED
MANUFACTURERS OF THE FANS AND CURBS. CONTACT DIRK BAUMANN
AT JD HIGGINS (800- 772 - 5452). THE FANS ARE FURNISHED BY THE
OUTBACK INC. AND INSTALLED BY THE CONTRACTOR.
3. HALTON IS THE ONLY APPROVED MANUFACTURER OF THE KITCHEN HOODS
AND THE GREASE FILTRATION UNIT. CONTACT DIRK BAUMENN AT JD
HIGGINS (800 -772- 5452). THE HOODS ARE FURNISHED BY OUTBACK INC.
AND INSTALLED BY THE CONTRACTOR.
4. ALL EQUIPMENT SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
CONDITIONS OF THE LISTING AND THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS.
5. THE AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT SHALL BE OPERATED DURING
CONSTRUCTION WITH THROWAWAY FILTERS, FILTERS SHALL BE CHANGED
DURING CONSTRUCTION IF THEY THROWAWAY FILTERS, FILTERS SHALL
