1_ GENERAL
PROVIDE LABOR, MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT TO PERFORM
ALL DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL WORK SHOWN, SPECIFIED
OR REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE WORK OF THE CONTRACT.
"TITLE TO PROPERTY ": EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE
SPECIFIED, OR INDICATED, ALL SALVAGEABLE MATERIAL
AND EQUIPMENT TO BE DISCONNECTED AND REMOVED SHALL
BECOME THE PROPERTY OF THE OWNER TO BE ASSIGNED
AND DISPOSED OF BY THE CONTRACTOR AT THE OWNER'S
DIRECTION. THESE ITEMS MAY INCLUDE BUT NOT BE
LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
EQUIPMENT, CONDUIT, LIGHT FIXTURES AND MECHANICAL
ITEMS.
PROTECTION OF PERSONS AND PROPERTY: SHALL BE
PROVIDED THROUGHOUT THE PROGRESS OF THE WORK. THE
WORK SHALL PROCEED IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO MINIMIZE
THE SPREAD OF DUST AND FLYING PARTICLES AND TO
PROVIDE SAFE WORKING CONDITIONS FOR PERSONNEL.
DISCONNECTION OF SERVICES: BEFORE STARTING THE
WORK, ALL AFFECTED UTILITIES SHALL BE DISCONNECTED
UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED OR DIRECTED. MAINS
SHALL BE SEALED IN AN APPROVED MANNER. IF IT
BECOMES NECESSARY TON INTERRUPT THE UTILITY
SERVICE TO UTILITIES NOT PART OF THIS CONTRACT,
PRIOR APPROVAL SHALL BE OBTAINED IN WRITING FROM
THE OWNER AND OR ARCHITECT.
SCOPE OF THE WORK:
CONTRACTOR TO OBTAIN ALL NECESSARY BUILDING PERMITS.
REMOVAL OF PARTITIONS/WALLS AS INDICATED ON DRAWINGS.

REMOVAL OF ALL FALSE OR DROPPED CEILINGS INCLUDING ANY FURRING
STRIPS AND OR CHANNELS, PLASTER, DRYWALL TILE PLYWOOD OR WOOD
BEAMS. AS INDICATED IN THE DRAWINGS.
REMOVAL OF ALL FINISHES INCLUDING FLOOR TILES, CARPET AND
PADDING AND COVERINGS AS INDICATED ON DRAWINGS.
DO NOT REMOVE FURRING, PLYWOOD OR DRYWALL ON STRUCTURAL
WALLS WITHOUT DIRECTIVE FROM ARCHITECT.
DO NOT REMOVE DRYWALL ON EXTERIOR PERIMETER WALLS. REMOVE ALL
FINISHES AND BASES.
GONG SLABS TO BE SCRAPED AND CLEANED FOR NEW FLOOR
COVERING.
REMOVAL OF ALL CABINET WORK AS INDICATED ON
DRAWINGS.
ALL DUCTWORK SHALL REMAIN. UNLESS INDICATED ON DWG5.
THE ABOVE SCOPE OF WORK 15 NOT EXHAUSTIVE. REFERENCE SHOULD
BE MADE TO EXISTING SITE CONDITIONS TO VERIFY EXTENT OF
REMOVALS TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT. SHOULD THERE BE A QUESTION
AS TO THE REMOVAL OF ANY PORTION OF THE PROJECT, THE
CONTRACTOR SHOULD REQUEST CLARIFICATION FROM THE DESIGNER.
INCLUDE COORDINATION FOR SHUTOFF, CAPPING AND CONTINUATION OF
UTILITY SERVICES AS REQUIRED, TOGETHER WITH DETAILS FOR DUST
AND NOISE CONTROL PROTECTION.
PROTECTIONS: PROVIDE TEMPORARY BARRICADES AND OTHER FORMS OF
PROTECTION REQUIRED TO PROTECT OWNER'S PERSONNEL AND GENERAL
PUBLIC FROM INJURY.
A. PROVIDE PROTECTIVE MEASURES AS REQUIRED TO PROVIDE FREE
AND SAFE PASSAGE OF OWNER AND VISITORS
TO AND FROM OCCUPIED PORTIONS OF BUILDING.
B. PROTECT FROM DAMAGE EXISTING FINISH WORK THAT IS TO
REMAIN IN PLACE AND BECOMES EXPOSED DURING DEMOLITION
OPERATIONS.
C. PROTECT ELEVATOR LOBBY FLOOR AND FLOORS WITH SUITABLE
COVERING WHEN NECESSARY.
D. REMOVE PROTECTIONS AT COMPLETION OF WORK.
UPON COMPLETION OF DEMOLITION WORK, REMOVE TOOLS, EQUIPMENT
AND DEMOLISHED MATERIAL FROM SITE. REMOVE PROTECTIONS AND
LEAVE INTERIOR AREAS BROOM CLEAN.
CEASE OPERATIONS AND NOTIFY THE OWNER
IMMEDIATELY IF SAFETY OF STRUCTURE APPEARS TO BE ENDANGERED.
TAKE PRECAUTIONS TO SUPPORT STRUCTURE UNTIL DETERMINATION IS
MADE FOR CONTINUING OPERATIONS.
EXECUTION:
ALL DEMOLITION SHALL BE CARRIED OUT WITH MINIMUM DAMAGE
TO ADJOINING WORK.
REMOVE ALL DEBRIS AND MATERIAL RESULTING FORM DEMOLITION
FROM THE SITE AT THE END OF EACH WORKING -DAY.
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS TO
PREVENT DAMAGE TO EXISTING WIRING, PIPING, TUBING, AND
EQUIPMENT. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE FULLY RESPONSIBLE
FOR ALL DAMAGE TO EXISTING STRUCTURE CAUSED BY HIS
OPERATIONS.
ALL DEMOLITION WORK SHALL BE UNDERTAKEN IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE REGULATIONS OF OSHA AND OF LOCAL
AUTHORITIES AND APPLICABLE BUILDING CODES.
