ARCHITECT
The Architect will be the Owner's representative during

construction and until Final payment Is due, The Architc-ot will
not be responsible for and will not have control or charge
of construction means, methods, techniques, sequences or
procedures, or for safety precautions and programs in
connection with the Work, The Architect shall at all times
have access to the Work wherever it 16 in preparation and
progress.
The Architect will review and approve or take other
appropriate action upon Contractor's submittals such as
Shop Drawings, Product Data and Samples, The Architect's
approval of a specific item shall not Indicate approval or
an assembly of which the item 16 a component.
Upon authorization by the owner additional compensation,
the Architect will render extensive Construction
Administration 415 described in the AIA Standard
Documents.
OWNER
The term Owner means the owner or his authorized
representative.
The Owner shall Furnish all survec s describing the physical
characteristics, legal - limitations and uttllty locations for the
site of the Project, and a legal description of the site.
The Owner shall secure and pay for necessary approvals,
casements, assessments and charges required for the
construction.
The Owner, upon written order, may stop the work and
contract the remaining work with another entity deducting
li through a Change order the cost of correcting any
deficiency, including compensation For the Architect's
additional services made necessary by such default,
neglect or failure.
The Contractor shall carefully study and compare the
Contract Documents and shall at once report to the
Architect any error, Inconsistency or omission he may
discover. The Contractor shall supervise and direct the
Work, using his best skill and attention.
Unless otherwise provided in the Contract Documents, the
Contractor shall provide and pay for all Tabor, materials,
equipment, tools, constructing equipment and machinery,
water, heat, utilities, transportation, and other facilities and
servlce6 necessary for the proper execution and
completion of the Work, shall secure and pay For the
building permit and for all other permits and governmental
fees, licenses and inspections necessary for the proper
execution and completion oaf f the Work,
The Contractor shall maintain at the site for the owner one
record copy of all Drawings, Specifications, Addenda,
Change Orders and other,Mo6ificatlons, In good order
and marked currently to record all Burin
f construction, and approved Shop Drawings, Product Data
and 5amples. The Contractor at all times. shall keep the
premises free From accumulation of waste materials or
rubbish caused b his operations.
SUMCONTRACTORS
A subcontractor is a person or entity who has a direct
contract with the Contractor to perform any of the Work at
the site., The Contractor shall Furnish to the Owner and the
Architect In writing the name of the persons or entitles
(including those who are to furnish materials or eciulpment

principal portions of the Work,
The owner reserves the right to perform work related to MBL LEGEND
the Project with his own forces, and to award separate
